Ashleigh's Story
Age:
I am 9 years old.
Friends:
I don’t have any best friends but I have really good friends, like Marielle, who I sometimes have play dates with. My friend Alyssa is so funny that I can’t stop laughing when I’m with her. Hope and Stacia are also really fun to play with. I also have friends that are boys. I love playing with my friend Noah on the playground. I have lots of friends that I do different things with and I don’t feel bad that I don’t have a best friend because I have fun with all of my friends!
Siblings:
I have a little brother named Noah. He is annoying but what would I do without him? If I didn’t have a brother or a sister to play with I think I would die! They are like your closest friends. You love your brother or sister even if they get on your nerves!
Pets:
My pets are two little, cute and funny dogs named Ripley and Amber. Ripley is the funniest dog I have ever seen! Amber is calm. I am the only kid that Amber likes. Once at home Ripley was chasing a toy that I threw to him and he was running so fast he couldn’t stop, he ran into the wall! All dogs are cute but mine are the cutest!
Favorite Colors:
My favorite colors are green and dark (but not too dark) blue. When I think of blue, I see in my head clear sky and ocean water. When I think of green I imagine the Rain Forest and jungles. I know a lot of people that like green and blue, do you?
Favorite school subject:
My favorite subject in school is Math. I love math because I am good at it and I just love it! I actually like all subjects in school. Some kids don’t like school but I do, do you?
Favorite ice cream flavor:
The flavor of ice cream that I like best is Mint Chocolate Chip. I love the chocolate but I love the mint even more. I also like Cookie’s n’ Cream but don’t really like very many kinds of ice cream. What about you?
Sports:
I love basketball! I don’t know why I like basketball but I like the Los Angeles Lakers and some other teams too. I am good at playing basketball and I really like to watch other people play it.
Books:
My favorite book is Mr. Popper’s Penguins. It is about a man that loves penguins. One day he sends a note to a penguin scientist who lives in Antarctica. One day he gets a box from the scientist, he opens it and inside is a penguin looking up at him! So he takes care of it. What do you know it’s a boy! After a few months another penguin comes in the mail and this time it’s a girl. The girl penguin has 12 babies. The penguin family becomes a show that travels around the United States.
I would suggest you read this book because it is a really good story.
Song:
My favorite song is “The Sweet Escape” by Gwen Stefani. I know almost all of the words and it is my favorite song of all time!
Favorite plant/flower:
My favorite plant is a Redwood tree. They are so pretty! I live in California where the redwoods are. Even though most of the trees are up north from where I live, there are some here in our botanical gardens. Someday I want to go see the forest of Redwood trees. The trees there are so big that there are some that have a tunnel in them that people can drive their car through!
Movie:
My favorite movie is Ratatouille. It is about a rat that can cook. One day he finds himself in Paris and makes friends with a human that can’t cook. They make a great team together!
Favorite activities:
My favorite summer thing to do is to go to the Los Banos pool. I can swim really well under water and I can float and swim on my back too. I can’t swim that well above the water yet but I’m learning.
Favorite animal:
My favorite animal is a frog. My grandpa gets me frog everything! I like every type of frog; I think that they are awesome!
Who I live with:
I live with my dad and my brother Noah. We share a house with a couple of people but we are going to move to our own place soon. I hope that when we move my dad will let us get a cat or a dog!
